After beginning his career as a comedic street magician in New York City, David Willis switched to standup comedy because it required fewer rabbits. He toured with his one-man show at over 200 colleges, then moved to Los Angeles and got into the TV business. In 2017, he became the first producer in the United States to raise money through Equity Crowdfunding for a feature length narrative film. The film, a family comedy called "I'll Be Next Door for Christmas," was shot in February of 2018 and is scheduled for release worldwide in December, 2018.

Born in Chicago, IL, where he was primarily raised in the Uptown neighborhood, he has been entertaining at an early age. He often found himself in the spotlight among his friends and peers due to his humorous persona. His interest in entertainment became more apparent going forward. David involved himself in local casting agencies in Chicago and quickly found that acting soon became one of his passions. Along with acting, David is also an independent writer with personal desires to direct and bring his own work and stories on-screen in the years to come. In addition, David also has a strong interest in music as he enjoys writing and producing his own during his spare time.
