Discovering his passion for entertainment at a young age, he became part of the business quickly when talent agents took note, signing him as a print model while still a high school student in Taiwan. Since 2009, his career as both a model and actor has grown steadily to include many productions, including critically- and commercially-successful films, commercials, music videos, print ads and more. In China and Taiwan, he has appeared as a guest on numerous variety talk shows, and was a specially invited red carpet guest at the 2017 Shanghai International Film Festival. After earning his B.A. in philosophy from Fu Jen University in Taiwan, from 2012-2013 Chen proudly served in the military as part of National Military Training required by citizens. After completing service, he re-discovered his passion for entertainment and ventured to California to pursue these dreams, while further studying and refining his English language proficiency. In Los Angeles he attended The University of California at Riverside and a joint program at The Los Angeles Film School. During this time, Chen also actively worked with local production companies honing his skills by producing commercials, as well as working in front of the camera on gala events and variety shows. After furthering his education and experience in the United States, Chen returned to Asia, traveling between China and Taiwan both acting in and producing a variety of projects. This work included great acclaim for his performance as a husband who confesses his love his ill wife, in Fox China's "The Missing Half." In 2021, Chen portrayed the mastermind professor in Netflix's popular Taiwanese fantasy drama, "The Devil Punisher," where he gained more experience towards his desire to work in action-oriented material, by doing all his own stunt work.
