Annita Adamou is a Los Angeles-based actress extensively trained in various techniques and acting schools including Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute New York, Atlantic Acting School NY and T. Schreiber Acting Studio NY. She holds an MFA in Acting from Apollonio Conservatory Athens and a B.A in English Language and Literature with special focus in the theatre of Shakespeare, Arthur Miller and Samuel Beckett. She is a recipient of the Laurel Hummel Scholarship from UCLA Extension for the Acting Certificate program. She's played multiple leading roles in film including 'Berenice', an adaptation of the titular story by Edgar Allan Poe which received awards in London and Athens Greece. In theatre, she has successfully portrayed difficult female characters often in plays adapted from the works of poetic and literary geniuses. Most recently she portrayed Salvador Dali's wife and muse Gala, in the original play 'Love, the Sorceress' by John Lacey at the Hollywood Fringe Festival '20 to critical acclaim. She is a martial artist of Kung Fu and Tai Chi. She is an honorable judge at the Burbank International Film Festival and member of Film Independent , American Film Institute and a voter for the Independent Spirit Awards. She's been to many major film festivals, Cannes, Biennale, Berlinale, LA Film Festival and AFI Fest to name a few. In her free time she likes joining the Skid Row Running Club founded by LA court judge Craig Mitchell in support of people battling with homelessness and drug addiction. She met the group at the premier of the awarded documentary "Skid Row Marathon" at the LA Film Festival.

Growing up in a creative household and multi-cultural integrated London, Anniwaa was constantly exposed to a variety of cultures and art forms.As a child, she was scouted by ballet dancer Rhian Robins, who believed her dance skills, were of an exceptionally high standard and encouraged her parents to enroll her in to the Royal Academy of Dance. For 16 years ballet and contemporary dance was her obsession, although a dancer of a high calibre her future was in acting. She was offered a place at prestigious method acting school, East 15 whose alumni include OBE and Brit Award winner, Damon Albarn and OBE, Oliver Award winner and celebrated British actress, Alison Steadman. Shortly after graduating from East 15, Anniwaa was awarded The Alan Bates Outstanding Newcomer award. Early on in her career she became the founder and Artistic Director of Golden Delilah from 2009 -2015. Golden Delilah was an innovative Theatre company which celebrated new writing which promoted strong female roles. This theatre company showcased a diverse range of actors, directors and writers aiding them in the development of their career. As an actor who started from very humble working class beginnings. She is an avid supporter of community outreach work and supports children theatre focused companies such Shakespeare Youth Festival, where she is a board member and head of the Outreach Committee.
