Steve Johnson
Originally from Liverpool, England, but now residing in Scotland, Steve is a self taught Director. He attended Riversdale College in Liverpool gaining a BTEC in Audio / Visual Production before relocating to Scotland in 1997. In 2014, Steve wrote and directed his first feature film, 'The Students of Springfield Street' which he crowdfunded the £4,500 budget. The film played at multiple festivals around the world, accumulating in 'Best Feature Film' at the 2015 Aberdeen Film Festival.
In 2018, Steve directed his second feature film 'Convergence' which he privately funded for only £3,500 and was shot with a skeleton crew of only four people in 30-days. 'Convergence' had its World Premier at Cineworld, Leicester Square, London, as part of the 2019 British Independent Film Festival, where the film won 'Best Feature Film'. 'Convergence' went on to also win 'Best Feature Film' at the 2019 Cardiff International Film Festival as well as winning over 20 other awards. 'Convergence' received a limited theatrical release and as of May 2020, is available to rent and purchase on Amazon Prime Video.
